Public servants
are worthy
of trust
and capable
of creating change.
We are powerful.

Government is people, too
governmentXpeople of us, for us, by us. This is our declaration. We are here to make it true. Welcome.

Our hypothesis

Government is people, too. There is a person behind each form. Society works better when we see the person behind the form - and they see us. When public servants are trusted and powerful, then they can build trust and create change with those they serve. All too often, our policies and systems don't enable this to happen. Let's change stories. Just, human, liberating government is possible, and it is the people of government who bring it into being.

governmentXpeople moves beyond methods to shift systems. We support organizational systems change that enables the methods we know work to work. We’re built by and for those leading the way with these better ways of working. We support experienced local government leaders in shifting their whole organizations by shifting towards organizational practices rooted in human trust and power, the ability to create change. Together, we are changing stories, organizing community, and building leadership for futures of, by, and for all of us.

Built of, by, and for us…

Government is people, too. We root in the core belief that often the best people to fix a system are those people who are in the system themselves. And that we work best when we work together with allies. governmentXpeople is how we connect on purpose, gathering intentionally for joy and impact. We are building governmentXpeople as the people of government.
In its current iteration, governmentXpeople:
